January 13, 2002 Tournament Grudge Match Game Notes
Winners: Klingon, Federation Delta, Romulan as Non-aligned
Federation Survives the Vidiian Harvesters
Among the interesting things that happen in the Delta Quadrant: The Federation got to use a null space catapult; the holographic Doctor ran off with a very sexy chick; and poor little Naomi Wildman was captured by the Vidiians so that they could grind her bones to make their organs (that is something you would never see on the show!) Federation wins this Delta Quadrant Match 131 to 66.
The Romulans get shut out?
This games score was non-aligned 120 - Klingon 53 - Romulan 0. Non-Aligned dominated this three-player game from the very beginning. The Romulans laid down a Red Alert and opened the door for the Non-aligned to lay down 2 ships and crew for all of the ships, plus, downloading the captain for the Jovis, a space dock and several other people in the very beginning of the game. Bad things took a turn for the worse when the Non-Aligned nullified the Romulan captain's log and then killed three people on the first dilemma encountered including the commander of the warbird. With 4 ships on the table, the non-aligned decided to attack the same warbird with all 4 ships. The Husnock ship was lost when it entered a temporal rift (prompted by the Klingons) but the attack went ahead as scheduled with the three remaining ships, destroying the warbird and halting the Romulan advance. After the humiliating defeat in the Semi-finals, have the Romulans Finally cracked? Not at all. Terrill and Crewman Skidmore swapped decks and played them as is proving that once and for all, that it is not the deck, but the player that wins or loses the game. Terrill even removed several cards from the deck prior to playing.
