Welcome Back Daimon Darc / Dispute Resolution / Tournament Fees / Team Leaders
Welcome Back Daimon Darc!
On behalf of the Guild, I would like to welcome back Daimon Darc of the Ferengi Commerce Authority.
Dispute Resolution
The Player's Guild and it members have had their share of ups and downs. Mutual animosity among members is not altogether unheard of and The Chancellor and I have debated long and hard about how to go about resolving disputes between members. L'terr had a problem with his sister Kim K'Chiq and arranged a game during the grudge match to determine who would leave the game. At the time, this seemed like a good idea but the other guild members thought otherwise. In hindsight, allowing matches like that to occur would allow one person to destroy the guild by themselves.
After that incident, the guild has chosen to adopt this policy for resolving disputes:
We ask that all members leave any and all emotional baggage at the door. We are here to have fun and enjoy something we all have interest in. Should any member harbor animosity toward another member, let the Guild Leader or Head Referee know prior to playing and arrangements can be made to have the two players not play one another. It is the opinion of the guild that the best way to deal with mutual animosity is to take that hatred you have for the other and put it into your game.
We know that certain members of the guild harbor these negative feelings for each other and we certainly don't want anyone to quit over stuff that happens outside the guild. So we ask that those members keep a stiff upper lip and show the others who the better man is.
Tournament Fees
We would like to have all of the tournament fees in by this Friday so that we can have the prizes for the tournament at the tournament.
Team Leaders
To solve the problem of new members arriving playing the same deck as our current members, we are going to form teams. Each of the people currently holding the race has been appointed team leader. When another player selects a secondary deck or when a new player joins that race, the Team Leader is responsible for helping the new member build a deck, helping with strategy, and assisting with the initial training. More will be explained after the tournament.
