No Game Next Week
The Chancellor and I will be out of town next weekend and therefore no game will be held next week.
Captain Bakel a No-Show
The four player heaven has been postponed due to lack of players.
Who's Who in tournament Standings
Because of his two wins last Sunday, Captain Storm has ousted Bakel for third place. As it stands, Captain Storm only needs 2 straight wins to take second place over Chancellor Froelich, and 4 wins to take first going into the Tournament. With three Friday games, a grudge match, and four-player heaven scheduled in the next weeks, Storm's chances are more than fair of stealing at least second.
Who I want to be when I renew
I look at the stats between my Romulan, Borg, Maquis, and Federation decks and the first thing that comes to mind is I know I won't play Federation. I have thought about other decks, though. Much to Captain Storm's relief, I am choosing not to go Maquis, though it would be interesting to see how long my Maquis would stay undefeated. This only leaves two: Borg or Romulan. I really like playing Borg. It is challenging and at the same time it is extremely flexible. My primary warp speed deck is Borg and all of those cards come out of my Borg deck. I like the possibilities with Borg, but one thing that might make me stay is Nemesis. When Decipher releases a set for Nemesis, my Romulans will benefit greatly. I still want to see what will happen with the Romulan deck when that happens. So we will see whether it will be Borg or Romulan the day of the Tournament.
Daimon Darc's win called into question
During the recent three-player game in which I was a part of, Daimon Darc did an excellent job of keeping up with the score and his dilemmas were well-placed, however, after the game was over I thought that the number of dilemmas underneath the various missions that I did were disproportional. So, I counted Darc's seed deck to find that it was 8 cards over. I would like to point out that I do not consider this excess an intentional act. I do know that Darc has been working on his deck and that maybe the excess was simply an oversight. However, whether intentional or not, it does call into question the good Daimon's recent win against the Romulans. During the next Grudge match, the game will be replayed and if the Daimon loses, the win he scored will be reversed and his place in the hall of fame will be revoked. His Commendation, however will remain. This is necessary to assure accurate stats.
