Message 8-25-2002:

The Fate of the Guild is in its members' hands.

Attendance.

"I will not have another tournament like this!"  Last tournament, I had to beg and plead with the membership to come to the tournament.  It seems like I have to beg people to come to the regular games as well.  Kudos to Captain Storm for kicking people in their jaxis to come and play.

Well enough is enough.  Sunday September 8th at 3:00 PM will decide if people are really serious about playing in the guild.  The entire guild, through the hard work and determination of many of its members, have earned a free tournament.  That's right, I said FREE.  Bought and paid for by the guild itself through renewals and candy sales.  All members are eligible to attend (that also means inactive members as well) even if you haven't renewed for the upcoming year.

My thought is, that if the membership cannot show up for a FREE tournament, then it is not truly serious about playing at all.  I want the guild to be fun for everyone, and when people just don't bother to do so, things aren't so fun.

Let me assure everyone that the upcoming year will be an adventure.  We have player of the year awards to hand out, we will be starting a player of the month program, we will be bringing on board more sponsorship, and a date has been set for the first Decipher Sanctioned Open Tournament and the Guild will be its host.  None of this can happen without our members.
