A New year, a new guild.
New Features and benefits for guild members
After my little rant last week, I figure I should go over some of the features and benefits of membership in the new Guild Year.
Member Cards
Yes, all of the guild members will have member cards. Many have asked for it and now you shall receive.
Discounts at card shops
When you receive your member cards, I will be working with local vendors to offer discounts to members only.
Player of the month and player of the year awards.
Don't have cash to go out and buy cards? If you receive the player of the month, you won't have to. Each player of the month will receive a package of cards as a prize and we will be handing out rare singles again as prizes for game winners.
Free tournaments
If the Guild raises $200 or more before a scheduled tournament, the tournament will be free to members regardless of whether it is open or closed.
Halloween party
The annual Halloween party is another place you can receive prizes. Winners will receive a prize for best costume and most unique costume. Oh, did I mention free food?
Christmas party
We did not have one last year, but we will this year. Players will exchange packages of cards for each other this year. Oh, did I forget to mention free food again? Not to mention Santa will have a surprise for all of the members this year.
Open tournament in January
This will be the first bona fide, Decipher Sanctioned tournament open to all who wish to participate. Date and time TBA. Free food here too.
Other parties
We will also have other parties like a valentine's day party, Easter Party, 4th of July party, and a summer cookout planned. It just might be a trend, but there is going to be food there as well.
