Ready Room Door Revisited
After some research it has come to my attention that the Ready Room Door that some us are playing cannot be seeded during the seed phase.
To use a Ready Room Door it must be played.
There are a couple of different ways to download it.
You could play a Q's Tent in you draw deck which would allow you to download it, from your Q's Tent or draw deck, and then discard the Q's Tent played
from hand.
You could also seed the Incident "Make It So" (TWT). This Incident allows you to download a Ready Room Door to download a "captains order" if you have a staffed ship with it's matching commander aboard.
The way the Ready Room Door plays is a little different that we have been playing it.
Once you have drawn it plays from hand, or you if you downloaded it you can play it right away.
Once you have used it, You can discard it, place it on top of you draw deck (like we have been), or place it atop one of your "captains orders" (event) to prevent it's nullification. Also if you use your Ready Room Door you draw no cards that turn (Just like we have been doing).
If you placed it on top you draw deck at the end of you next turn you will draw the Doorway and place it in your hand to play again at another time.
Beings the Ready Room Door is Doorway, it plays somewhat like an Interrupt except you can only play it during your turn.
So if you have already played a card -for example, a ship- and you have your Ready Room Door in hand, you can play the Door to download its matching commander then place it on top of your draw deck to use again later.
One more note: if you use another card to download a card from your draw deck and your Ready Room Door is on top of your draw deck, you will need shuffle it in to your deck and wait until you draw it again to use it.
I hope this clears up a little confusion, the Ready Room Door is still a very good card to have in your deck.
