CCG or CIA?

We could go round and round about what and how much should be kept secret during gameplay. Personally, if you want to see any of my personnel, as long as they are played face-up on the table, I don't care. If you want to see a card in my hand, go fish.
Using certain personnel to reveal cards in my dilemma pile make me laugh. I really do not see the advantage in that as you will be seeing them when I decimate your away team later with those very cards. Or, as in the case of our very own cadet Marie, who simply didn't bother to even use the few that were revealed (she drew better ones).
As far as the reporting of personnel, many of our Guild members (not just our good Fleet Admiral, mind you) do enjoy keeping their people secret. That's all well and good until you encounter a dilemma like Kelvan Show of Force where your opponent gets to everyone in your crew or away team anyway.
My advice, don't stress about concealing stuff and worry more about playing the game well.
Addendum 3-5-2003: Apologies to those who may have been offended by this article. I do realize that looking at the opponents cards may be integral part of your game play. This article was not intended as a criticism of the way a player plays, it was simply to stress that secrecy in 2e game play is not as important as it was in 1e as told from my perspective as a player. I too have cards in my deck that allow me to look at other player's cards, but choose not to utilize them for the reasons described above.
