Small Decks Can Still Satisfy 2
By Terrill
In second edition, there are no shortcuts to victory. No double turns, no reporting for free, and certainly no downloading to the table. The winner of a second edition game does the most missions in the least amount of time with as few card draws and reporting of people as possible. This means, that your deck must be as small as possible with as few "fluff cards" as possible. You need an event to begin an engagement and the results of the engagements are not "destroy ship and kill crew" and more like "score a few points and kiss your opponent fully on the lips".
Yech.
Leave those events out as well as those that allow you to put your hand on the bottom of your deck and drawing cards. Not only does this give your opponent a really good feeling, but if you organize your deck properly (and I don't care how badly your game is going), you won't need them.
Keep your deck small and efficient and you will win more games.
